We love data!

How it all began.

It is the early 2000s: Two school mates write their final exam and don’t know what to do professionally. Instead of starting an office career they program a scripting software and suddenly realise: This is their professional future! And out of this single project they professionalized the service and formed a group of companies under the umbrella “Talk Group” that now consists of 70 passionate and data-driven full-time employees all over Europe. And this success story is yet not over…

 

Our offering

High quality panels and connected data collection.

With a strong focus on high-quality panels all over Europe and connected data collection services such as questionnaire programming, data delivery in all given formats or operating specific client segments and/or panels, the product and service focus developed over the years. Today we offer software licenses (e.g. for our self-developed panel management system), build and operate client panels, facilitate DMP-feeding for audience building and offer all sorts of behavioral data.
Nevertheless, we always tend to stay open-minded for new sparks: Let us know what your research challenge is and we will aim to build a rock-solid, tech-driven service for you following our philosophy: We are only happy once you are happy!

We are family!

Sister Sledge´s famous 80s hymn is more than just a song for us. This is how we are and interact – and how we jointly work with the ambition of always delivering the best project outcome for our clients. Our people have a large variety of skills and speak a total of 24 languages – and our founders actively work on projects as team members to bring all their experience to the table.
Being physically present in seven countries and operating nine offices is important for us in order to be local but act global. So visit us once you are in town: Vienna, Zurich, Berlin, Leipzig, Munich, Prague, Sofia, Bucharest. We are happy to offer you more than just a cup of coffee!

Our story

A dream comes true.

Local expertise with a strong European backbone. Our corporate success story took off in 2002 when Infovalidator, our first scripting software, was launched by Klaus Oberecker and Benjamin Zotter. The two schoolmates realised that this could be the starter´s gun for something bigger. So they took all their savings and founded the precursor of Talk: Mindtake New Media Consulting (2005).
Soon panel buildung was added to the scripting software and in 2008 the panel operation went on its first expansion wave in Croatia and Bulgaria. In 2009 the strategy was to move onwards and go east. The firm added offices in Riga and Sofia and clinched panel co-operations in three more CEE countries to fuel a solid path of organic growth.
2015 became the year of further professionalization – Talk Online Panel was set apart from other services and started operating as a stand-alone business. Operating panels and serving clients in 21 countries led us into taking over a first competitor in the German market: keyfacts. Talk acquired Leipzig-based keyfacts as their branch into the indispensable German market and shortly afterwards bought a majority stake into the leading Czech CATI/CAWI specialist DataCollect in 2019. Due to a massive demand a new offices were opened in Munich and Berlin to serve further research needs for German clients. To be continued throughout 2022 and onwards…
