The average donation amount is 139€, with a slightly significant difference between genders: the average for male participants is 160€ – for women it is 118€. In addition, 70% of the participants agreed at least to some extents that donating is very important. On the question of Austrians’ expectations about donating, the survey found that the majority of respondents do not think that donating is the norm and that it is expected of people.
